About
I am a therapist licensed as an LCSW in Utah for over 15 years. I have experience as a psychotherapist working with a wide range of mental illnesses. I have experience in treating depression, anxiety, personality disorders, and PTSD. I believe that we experience life with our whole body: mind, body, and spirit. When we can bring this whole system in harmony we become a more centered, whole being. My style in treating my clients is very person centered. I believe in being very empathetic and warm. I believe in being accepting and compassionate with a wide range of personal issues.
I have been trained and am experienced in treating trauma, specifically, using the models EMDR. I have used the model DBT in helping my clients develop skills surrounding interpersonal effectiveness, emotion regulation, and distress tolerance. I use mindfulness at the core of my treatment models.
Life can be full of challenges and stresses. Challenges and stressors are what help us grow. However, when these challenges and stressors become overwhelming we often need help moving through these difficulties. I really admire the strength of my clients who seek help and do the work to heal from trauma, life stressors, and other mental illnesses.
