About
"To bear witness" is to listen, observe, and validate painful and/or traumatic experiences of others. It is an honor and a privilege to do this work, and a role I love! I specialize in working with trauma, addiction, body image, reintegration, and finding meaning. I also specialize in supporting other helpers and healers. My mission is to create a safe, non judgmental space for you to grow and achieve your goals.
I have been doing substance abuse and mental health work for over 15 years. I know therapy can be a huge catalyst for change, as I have experienced it myself! My primary modalities are motivational interviewing, harm reduction psychotherapy, & mindfulness. I also incorporate principles of Buddhist psychology.
I have a very laid back, easy going approach. It's very important to me that my clients feel comfortable and able to voice their concerns- not just about their lives, but about the therapy process itself. I learn from the wisdom of my clients every day.
