I am a clinical social worker with over thirty years experience working with individuals, couples and families. I have a Master's and Ph.D. from Columbia University and I serve in both teaching and supervisory positions at The Institute for Contemporary Psychotherapy. My expertise working with couples provided the basis for a course I recently taught to therapists on How To Do Couple Therapy.ver
I am warm and directive in my therapeutic approach. I combine my formal training (Relational therapy and Systems theory) and my extensive experience with an active dialogue with my clients to insure the most effective results.
Through my specialized training, I have developed a considerable practice working with both straight and gay couples.
I also have extensive experience working with college-age students and young adults dealing with depression, relationship issues, and struggles with self-esteem. In addition, I have helped parents deal with problems related to their children's lives.
