About
Our stories and life experiences play a large role in shaping who we are and why we do what we do. However, the meaning we make out of these stories has far more power over us than the events themselves. I believe words have power, especially the ones we speak to ourselves, and stories and narratives matter. Understanding where our interpretations of our stories come from is key in walking into further freedom and writing a new narrative for ourselves.
I approach counseling through the lens of attachment, narrative work, and family systems. I work with adults who are wanting to improve their relationships, need to process a recent loss, and those who have resiliently carried losses and pain with them for some time. With a compassionate posture, you and I will create a safe space to tend to existing wounds.
I know what it feels like to be stuck in the same narrative for years. I know the level of panic/fear that can surface when our wounds are touched. It is a brave and courageous thing to look internally and do the work that will inevitably impact and improve your experiences externally. It would be an honor to walk with you toward the reconciliation you seek.
