Hello my name is Shayna and it's nice to meet you. I currently have openings for new clients. I am passionate about serving marginalized communities who have previously experienced harm within the mental health system as a result of institutionalized biases. Additionally, I specialize in working with folx transitioning into adulthood, individuals exploring their various identities including gender and sexuality identities, and survivors of trauma related to domestic violence and sexual assault. I have passion in serving the LGBTQ+ community and identify as part of the community. Trauma informed therapy is the basis for my work.
I provide individual therapy services that pull from modalities including: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Emotion Focused Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and more to create a trauma informed, supportive space. I additionally practice with a Health at Every Size approach, and believe in every client where they are at.
I believe that there is not a one size fits all approach to therapy, and I strive to make sure that each of my clients receives the individualized support that they deserve. In the first handful of sessions, our work will focus on building a strong therapeutic relationship in which we adapt the therapeutic environment to your functioning, needs, and goals.
