Hello! My name is Shay. I have a Master's Degree in Social Work from Fordham University and I'm currently licensed to practice in both Florida and Utah. I have over 8 years of experience working with children, teens, adults, couples, and families. Prior to becoming a mental health therapist, I spent 4 years working with women in substance use recovery to rebuild their lives and strengthen their families. I currently support clients with a wide range of needs relating to anxiety, depression, neurodivergence, identity, trauma, relationship dynamics (i.e. divorce, co-dependency, abuse) and more.
I am passionate about using a trauma-informed, strengths-based, and solution-focused approach and I have experience using several effective modalities, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Art Therapy, Sand Tray Therapy, and Play Therapy.
