Managing daily life can be a daunting and emotional experience for all of us no matter our age or circumstance. I approach every client as an individual with unique experiences, perspectives, and needs. I strive to assist clients in identifying opportunities for growth and personal development, and then provide tools, insight, encouragement, and support to take action in fulfilling these opportunities. Core to my therapeutic process is building insight, awareness, and the skills for individuals to understand how they work as a person in managing life challenges.
It may sound strange, but I don’t want you here! My goal is to support clients so they can manage their own concerns using self-counseling through the support built in their daily lives. My therapeutic approach is based in trauma informed Cognitive Behavioral Therapy with a focus in Rational Living Therapy (RLT) and Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT).
My expertise is working with disruptive behavior disorders, depressive disorders, and anxiety disorders with children and adolescents to improve family systems and assist parents in building pro-social parenting skills. I also have experience in building peak athletic performance and supporting social/emotional rehabilitation following injury.
