I enjoy working with adolescents, adults, and couples who desire positive change. Life is a journey. We all encounter obstacles along the way. When obstacles become roadblocks, the outcomes can lead to depression, heightened anxiety, and relationship problems, among other issues. Psychotherapy provides me an opportunity to walk beside my clients as they face difficult life transitions. My passion is to help people as they navigate the storms of life.
I practice cognitive behavioral therapy from a client-centered perspective. Therapy is both art and science. I strive to find useful solutions that are empirically valid, but I also realize that no one approach is right for everyone. The art of therapy is finding what works for each individual.
I have often been asked about my therapeutic orientation. My standard response is Bio-Psycho-Social. One's genetics, environment, and mental health play a strong role in the development and overall health of a person. I also feel comfortable working with clients who desire faith-based counseling.
