My name is Shawn Edgington, and I am a licensed professional counselor in the state of Texas and Florida. My passions are working with children, families and individuals. I specialize in Anxiety, women's issues and trauma. I enjoy working with clients who are experiencing life transitions and changes, anxiety, depression and mood disorders. When meeting with me, I want clients to feel like they are sitting in a warm comfortable chair in a calm environment and comfortable sharing their emotions.

I primarily use Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). It is a talking therapy that can help you manage your problems by changing the way you think and behave. It's most commonly used to treat anxiety and depression but can be useful for other mental and physical health problems.

I help the clients identify what the core roots to their concerns are and develop goals from there. During the first session we work on building rapport and getting to know each other. This is a chance for me to get to know you so I can individualize the therapy for you specifically.
