My name is Shawn Marie Briggs, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). My education includes a master's in social work from the University of Southern California (USC). Through my education and experience, I have developed expertise in cultural diversity and the ability to provide clients with guidance through life's most difficult challenges. One of the most wonderful parts of my work is having the ability to meet clients where they are at and helping them to explore methods of coping that would best suit their individual needs.
I specialize in trauma resolution, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) anxiety, depressive disorders, including postpartum depression, and autism spectrum disorder. I work with families to strengthen relations and couples to bring healing and restoration. I believe in helping my clients discover their strengths and empower them to reach their goals.
I work with adults, teenagers, children as well as couples and families. approach to therapy is client-centered, strength-based, solution-focused therapy. My skills include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Conflict Resolution, and Family systems therapy. Faith-based counseling is available.
