About
Often the issues that bring a person to my practice are depression, anxiety, or traumatic events. Some struggle with eating disorders or other behaviors that control their lives. When in the midst of these issues, a person often feels helpless to change course. Reaching out for help from a trained professional is a courageous first step, a step that can change the course of your life. If you are the type of person that desires to take that first step and is willing to change what is not working for you, we will likely work well together.
Eating disorders impact all aspects of an individual's life, and therefore, must be addressed in an integrative, holistic manner. I treat eating disorders and other related issues (eg., mood disorders, anxiety, trauma). My new book, A Therapist's Guide to Treating Eating Disorders in a Social Media Age, is available at https://wwnorton.com/rd/Qm45T
As a certified eating disorder therapist, I completed comprehensive, advanced training in eating disorder treatment. Access to the latest developments in eating disorder treatment enables me to stay abreast of new trends and implement new treatment options, a must in this rapidly evolving field.
