Creating meaningful change in how we approach life or our relationships can be difficult. If you are feeling stuck in a cycle that is hard to escape, therapy may be what you're looking for. I believe in the transformative power of the counseling relationship and the innate resilience that lies within everyone. In working together, we can create the space necessary to challenge unhelpful ideas and explore uncomfortable topics in a way that allows us to feel safe. I'm also an advocate for transparency in how therapy works. I intend to keep you informed on our goals and how we are working towards them.
I have been trained in multiple counseling theories. This has allowed me to tailor my approach to what each person needs. I generally prefer a combined approach of CBT and Existential Therapy. In this approach, we can explore alternatives to unhelpful thoughts while allowing us to appreciate and explore concerns related to being human.
As a lifelong learner, I am in the process of completing a doctorate in counseling psychology. Each person faces their own unique struggles with their own unique path to resolution.
