Whether you struggle with managing your emotions or your behaviors, people have an incredible ability to rise above their challenges and achieve healing and connection with the life they want. I believe in the transformational ability of therapy to overcome past events and current obstacles in ourselves and in our life to find new strength, resolve and meaning. I specialize in therapeutic interventions to aid in self-discovery to get to the root of your stuck points and through the use of EMDR, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Schema Therapy and Mindfulness-based approaches we will resolve the issues, freeing you up to be the person you want to be. Office Hours: Monday - Thursday 9am-5pm.
I believe that we all want to improve and we are all working to get unstuck in the places we are stuck. I approach therapy as your guide and from a place of warmth, compassion and genuineness and I believe that in working from the plan we develop together, you can achieve your goals for recovery. As part of my practice, I use EMDR in conjunction with Schema Therapy. In your first session, we'll explore what contributes to the way you feel and then decide the most appropriate ways to help you make progress. During treatment, I'll help you learn to notice patterns of thinking and feelings tied to schemas and use EMDR to process unresolved traumatic memories which shaped these patterns.
