Welcome! My name is Shashonna, I am licensed in Mental Health and Substance Abuse in Delaware and North Carolina. During the past 15 years, I’ve gained valuable academic training and real-life experiences that help me meet individuals where they are and empower them to heal, grow, and meet their goals. I enjoy working with people from all walks of life and I’m experienced in helping individuals work through various life challenges and the unexpected changes that are experienced at different times in our lives.
I prioritize creating a non-judgmental, safe, and compassionate environment for clients, enabling them to be their true selves. When we feel connected and validated, growth becomes unstoppable. I value being a positive influence in others' lives and believe in the power of humor. My approaches include CBT, Motivational Interviewing, Person-Centered Therapy.
My goals as a Therapist are to help individuals heal, increase their self-awareness, improve their ability to cope with the ups and downs of life, identify and change unhealthy patterns, and reach their goals. I really enjoy the process of getting to know each individual client and meeting them where they are in their life journey.
