Have you lost your footing? I specialize in traumatic grief counseling and reducing the negative effects of traumatic events. Sudden losses can throw you off center. Unattended losses and past traumas can leave you feeling disconnected from the people you love. I use EMDR therapy to help people make sense of their past losses so they can live more joyfully in the present. A certified facilitator of The Daring Way, I use the research published by Dr. Brené Brown to help people brave connection and claim their sense of worthiness and belonging.
I am comfortable working within your spiritual framework, and sometimes include relaxation, guided imagery, and expressive arts when appropriate. I am an EMDRIA-Certified EMDR therapist and consultant. EMDR is a research-base treatment endorsed by the World Health Organization to reduce the negative effects of psychological trauma.
I also provide supervision for pre-licensed clinicians and am approved by the EMDR International Association to provide individual and group consultation to EMDR therapists.
