About
It takes courage to seek help and I admire those who do. Although I have worked with people with various issues through the years; trauma, grief, estrangement, anxiety and mood-related issues are primary interests. I enjoy working with teens, adults, and couples. Although I am trained in several approaches, I don't believe in a "one size fits all" approach to therapy. As a trained CCTP (Certified Clinical Trauma Professional), many of the skills I have gained through training apply to people with various life difficulties and challenges.
I have experience working with many types of issues in my practice, but bring a special understanding to grief related to the loss of a loved one who is still breathing, as well as anxiety, trauma, and grief. My approach is individualized but I have found that teaching skills so that you can stabilize and self-regulate is an important first step.
Life can be difficult, and I have yet to meet a person who has gone through this world unscathed in some way. In order to create the life you want to live moving forward, each person has to take the first step on this journey. The past does not define your future and I would be honored to walk beside you as you move forward toward healing.
