In my more than 40 years as a psychologist I have accumulated the clinical competence and wisdom to be your partner to achieve your goals in therapy. I have many clients who are psychotherapists themselves who appreciate that I can help in ways they've been previously stuck. I understand & have been trained to work with people with complex trauma and dissociation. I also work with single incident trauma that is causing flashbacks, nightmares, hyper-alertness, etc. I can also teach you skills to manage difficult emotions.
My primary modality is EMDR, an evidence-based modality for all types of "stuck" issues. Developed over 30 years ago, it is effective not only for PTSD but for many other diagnoses and symptoms that cannot be resolved with merely cognitively based therapies. I am certified in EMDR as well as being an Approved Consultant through the international association.
