Life is challenging and it just never stays the same! Sometimes we find ourselves in a rough patch where old patterns of behavior just don't work anymore but we don't know what else to do. I believe it's my job to help you find your way through to new answers and behaviors that serve you better. To me, the work of therapy is to find the courage within to change the things that you can, the acceptance to live with what you cannot and most importantly, to figure out which is which! I believe it is my role to help you find your way through this with compassion, humor and insight.
I have over 25 years of experience with adolescents and parents around issues that include academic difficulties and social/emotional challenges. I also enjoy working with adults that struggle with anxiety, depression, parenting and basic life challenges. As I get older I am also fascinated by the journey into later life.
I am not a person who gives a lot of advice or is directive unless you ask. I believe that most the time people, at time subconsciously, know what they need, they just need safety, acceptance and the right questions to be asked to find their way which is what I strive to provide.
