I am a therapist with many years of experience and have several post-graduate certifications, but I understand very well that being an open and engaging professional is essential to help people feel comfortable to talk about how to untangle their issues. The therapeutic relationship is "a must" and I am often sought out because of my ability to connect easily with others. I am an EMDR trained therapist and have had success with that treatment approach for those struggling with significant trauma. But, other approaches including cognitive behavior therapy (CBT) and Narrative therapy are approaches I use in my work with individuals to ease the distress, pain, or conflict with which one is struggling.
