Over the past 22 years, I have worked with many clients who have experienced trauma from childhood, sexual abuse, combat, and violent loss. They come to find peace of mind and relief from the nightmarish life in the past. We work on the reality that they are survivors and their resilience is amazing. Clients learn that they have always been their strength and their own best advocates throughout the maze of bewildering emotional turmoil. They are the strongest survivors and strive toward the goal of wholeness.
During ten years of working for the Army, I developed the skill of utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in various evidence-based treatments. I use CPT, Mindfulness, CBT for nightmares, Cognitive Processing Therapy, and other evidence-based therapies. I have extensive experience in crisis counseling including suicidal ideation.
Struggling with PTSD, nightmares, suicidal ideation or the after-effects of trauma need not be a lonely undertaking. My clients have found their way out of the mental maze into a healthy and hopeful future. I offer a recovery partnership for the road to health and will employ tools to make the process successful and lasting.
