You may be at a place in life you never expected or wanted, but you are taking the brave step to make a change by seeking help. I'm Sharon, and I believe no one should ever feel alone while journeying through the inevitable hard times, nor should anyone go without trying clinically effective interventions that promote growth. I offer compassionate, non-judgmental, value-driven, services to address your current needs. I am EMDR trained and use a variety of approaches, from verbal psychotherapies to creative therapies, with children, adolescents, and adults to uncover barriers to experiencing a more gratifying and meaningful life.
My work with you is theoretically-informed, as I have taught courses in human development, mental health, cognitive-behavioral therapy, diversity, and communication at the graduate, undergraduate, and community levels. My clinical background spans working in hospitals, residential facilities, out-patient and day programs, as well as 1:1 in my practice.
Informative to my work is having lived on 3 continents, travel, research of psychology, cultures, art, religions and sociology and having a diverse and large family. With a relationship of warmth, empathy, value, and respect, I hope to embark with you on an adventure of unlocking insights, promoting growth, healing hurts, and discovering solutions together.
