Do you have difficulty dealing with life’s daily pressures? Do you struggle with feeling overwhelmed, anxious or depressed? During life we can have our emotions numbed and may not realize it. We keep going through life thinking it is “normal” until something breaks us and we realize we need that additional support. Most of us have had some type of trauma in our lives and it can hold us back. I would love to support you on your journey to a life of peace, joy, safety and self-confidence. Trauma is my specialty and I use a variety of tools that have proven to be very effective. I can integrate a Christian perspective if requested.
I specialize in working with adults & children who have experienced trauma. I’m a certified level 1& 2 Brain Working Recursive Therapist. The therapy may include grief work (including pet grief), trauma, PTSD, fear, depression and anxiety. This modality works by changing the neural pathways in the brain, which means people can heal much more quickly.
I focus on providing a safe and compassionate environment. I’ll meet you where you are on your journey and offer you the support you need to process your past trauma so it no longer follows you around. I also work with a certified therapy dog Hershey, who joins us for all sessions. He provides comfort and helps put people at ease. He loves ear scratches. :)

The engine of BWRT is a naturally occurring brain state, the Freeze response, a synthetic version of which is induced therapeutically and without trauma. Then we use the primary communication processes of the early brain to reorganize and neutralize the response associated with the presenting issue.

The truly exciting thing about BWRT is that it works directly in that 'cognitive gap' before conscious awareness. So where more standard therapies will be seeking to access the anxiety-triggering amygdala via conscious processes, BWRT works from the other end of the scale - in the very early brain before the amygdala has even received the message!
