Sharon has extensive training in assisting those with gambling disorders and their families. She was awarded the Jeffrey M. Beck Scholarship Award for the continued commitment and integration of problem gambling awareness, prevention, recovery and treatment from the University of Maryland School of Medicine Md Center of Excellence on Problem Gambling.
Sharon believes that clinicians should respect the stage that a client presents at the time of treatment. She believes that motivating a client at their pace and time contributes to their feelings of autonomy.
