As an immigrant, wife, and mother, I understand the challenges of acculturation, identity, and balancing family and personal life. I welcome adolescents, particularly those from Asian, and immigrant backgrounds, who may be navigating identity, cultural expectations, and adjustment. As a bilingual therapist (Urdu/Hindi), I provide accessible care for concerns such as anxiety, depression, self-esteem, career concerns, and generational trauma.
My primary approach is Adlerian, which emphasizes a holistic understanding of individuals, reduce discouragement, promote insight, and support the development of positive, fulfilling relationships. I integrate evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.
I believe that pain is often unavoidable or unpredictable. At some point in our lives, we all have to cope with distress and overwhelming emotions.
