I am a licensed mental health counselor with experience working in the community, school, and private practice setting. Providing counseling in a relaxing office setting, I strive to help you feel safe and comfortable. I work within a cognitive behavioral perspective and have experience working with clients who are struggling with depression, anxiety, stress related issues, strategies to deal with anger effectively, and self esteem. I work with individuals, couples and offer group counseling. In relation to children, I have experience with learning problems, ADD and ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, self esteem, depression and anxiety, and anger control.
I worked in the school system for six years as a school counselor. During this time I was a 504 coordinator, Response to Intervention Coach, and testing coordinator. This knowledge allows me to work as both a liason and an advocate for your child as you navigate the school system.
In our counseling sessions we will work together to explore current problems you are experiencing and learn ways to help manage your stress and improve your ability to cope with problems. I am a Qualified Supervisor for Mental Health Counselors. I look forward to working with you.
