I believe that psychotherapy is most beneficial when it can address problems and help one find solutions to life's conflicts. It is these conflicts that often become obstacles in leading an emotionally healthy and rewarding life. Ultimately, I believe the goal of therapy is to enable an individual to make decisions that will allow them to feel most satisfied, productive and in control of their lives. Likewise, learning to cope with life's everyday stressors and crises can be an important part of psychotherapeutic work. My approach is tailored to your needs and working toward what you wish to accomplish.
I provide therapy for cardiac trauma survivors to manage the psychological & existential issues from surviving a cardiac crisis. I’m a clinical psychologist, trained in medical psychology & have survived 2 cardiac crises & open-heart surgery. I continue to work with LGBTQ+, performing/creative artists, linguistic/cultural minorities & neurodivergence/ADHD.
My previous career as a musician has allowed me to be creative, flexible and open to the multiple ways in which people define their emotional needs and decide what their goals in life are.I’m available to help survivors and the families, of origin or chosen, explore & manage the emotional fallout from a cardiac crisis(es).
