I work with couples, families and adolescents. What they all have in common is a feeling of why is this happening to me? What do I do now? Is everyone doing better than I am? Is everyone managing so much easier than we are? Why is my marriage so difficult? Is parenting this hard for everyone? I know that life can be complicated, and it does not come with a manual. My goal is to work with clients to face and navigate their life so that they can gain perspective and grow. My love is working with clients so they can move through this world in such a way that they can be strong mentally and in healthy families and relationships.
My approach to therapy is one that is empathetic, straightforward, clear, and with a touch of humor. Therapy is a collaborative process where we work together towards your goals. My approach is an eclectic one from Emotionally Focused Therapy, Attachment Work, Gottman, Ego State Therapies and DBT.
I have deep regard for relationships and how they impact us. By processing relationships that we have had and by understanding the ones that we are in, we can build a healthier, happier more peaceful life. We are created by the life we have had, family of origin, traumas and those that have come into our lives. Recognizing that is a key to moving forward.
