I'm Shaq Roberts, a licensed clinical social worker with a passion for mental health and the needs of the LGBTQ+ and QPOC communities. As a Queer Person of Color, I have intentionally and specifically catered my education and work experience to match that of my life experience. Currently, I provide direct service through individual therapy, surgery letter assessments, and mental health assessments with Charlotte Black Therapy. I am able to provide therapy to clients in PA, NC and SC.
I believe in utilizing an eclectic approach to therapy, pulling from various evidence-based modalities such as Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, EMDR, and Trauma-Informed Care. This approach allows me to tailor my interventions to meet the unique needs and strengths of each individual I work with.
I strive to continually make an effort to improve the quality of life for the QPOC community through advocacy, amplifying voices, community engagement, and direct delivery of mental health services. It is my hope to continue empowering folks to become their most authentic selves and learn to heal and cope.
