Hello, my name is Shanton Roberson and I am a Licensed Independent Social Worker. I am very passionate about my line of work because I do the work first and I know how challenging the work can be. It is the most beautiful ugly experience ever. I am a person-centered therapist and you best know your story. I am here to interpret or to just be a sounding board so that we can work through it together. My most common theoretical approaches are psychodynamic, behavioral, cognitive, and humanistic.
I work with clients who have symptoms of anxiety, depression, PTSD, complex trauma, addiction, couples, grief, and interpersonal relationship skills. I currently do not have a cap on what I am most comfortable treating as I've worked with many individuals and families who have experienced a variety of mental health diagnoses and complications.
I am a very personable and motivational person and the environment that I create for my sessions is that of safety, judgment-free, and freedom. I encourage people to release what does not serve them.
