Hello! I’m Shanti, the founder of Something New Counseling and Wellness. I’ve always felt a deep calling to women in their personal growth and healing. After working in community mental health and gaining experience in trauma-informed therapy, I knew it was time to create a space where both women and teen girls could feel empowered, heard, and supported on their journey toward healing. That’s how Something New Counseling and Wellness was born, an inclusive practice designed to help women and teen girls overcome the unexpected challenges that life throws their way.

I specialize in working with women and teen girls who are navigating the impact of unresolved trauma, depression, anxiety, and the stress of living in a fast-paced world. I understand how difficult it can be to balance school, work, relationships, raising a family, and personal growth, but I also know that healing is always possible.
