Has ADHD or ASD ever negatively influenced how you parent? Maybe you have lost your temper trying to parent through meltdowns and sensory needs. Maybe your child says they don't mean to make mistakes, but their brain tends to "glitch" when they are asked to remember details, concentrate or complete work. Additionally, they may meltdown or show explosive, dysregulated emotions due to the emotional side of neurodevelopmental disorders. Other kids may have trouble with flexibility, transitions, and making friends.
Using the best evidence-based, behavioral methods for neurodivergent kids and families is my speciality.
I am a licensed psychologist in PA and DE, with a focus on childhood attention, anxiety, executive functioning, anger regulation and social skills concerns. I did my training in PCIT, ASD therapy and ADHD assessment and treatment at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia for my postdoc and then as an attending psychologist.
I believe the right psychologist is accessible, warm, and skilled. It is important to find a professional who is well-trained in the right strategies to help your child. Equally important is the right kind and caring partner to join in with on this important work. I would love to meet you, your child and explore what working together might look like.
