Therapy can offer essential support for managing overwhelming emotions, addressing trauma, improving relationships, and fostering meaningful personal change by providing skills to better understand and resolve past experiences and emotional challenges. With the use of approaches supported by empirical research, I work with my clients to help them improve their quality of life and to get past their pasts.
Many of my clients struggle with eating disorders, body image, borderline personality disorder, OCD and trauma. Using a combination of approaches, we work together to create change, find peace and promote healing.
My practice is rooted in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and EMDR. DBT is an emotionally focused therapy that teaches us how to manage our emotions, pursue meaningful connections with others and to be fully present in our lives. EMDR is an approach that looks through the lens of the nervous system to identify and resolve trauma.
It is one of my core beliefs that our pasts do not have to dictate our future and we are often stronger, more resilient than we realize. Recovery is possible. Healing is possible. And, it all begins with a first step.

DBT Skills Group
DBT skills group is designed to teach clients 4 distinct types of skills: Mindfulness, Emotional Regulation, Interpersonal Effectiveness and Distress Tolerance. DBT skills groups are are structured similar to a class where group members engage in a mindfulness practice, share homework and learn a new skill. Group requirements include being established with an individual therapist.
