Shannon Marie Eells's Groups
Women's self -esteem group
This was a wonderful group of women who met weekly and practices various techniques and exercises to improve the way they felt about themselves and the world around them. So often women struggle with weight issues that society places on them as well as other struggles with stereotypes in the workplace as well as familial expectations, This group was an amazing resource during which the group members really empowered one another and assisted in helping each other to recognize their individual worth.
American Psychology Association
This is a great tool for available for keeping current, which is critical to quality care. It is also instrumental in learning about how our changing society effects mental Health. Professional tools are made available for therapeutic purposes and opinions from various professionals are available for your therapist to refer to, while keeping the needs of the individual clients on their caseload in mind. This allows for your therapist to be in a more informative position to assist clients. I am also a member of the American Counseling Association, which is a professional organization that provides helpful information.
