Through an objective and supportive relationship, which is often called the therapy alliance, I specialize in helping clients reach their short-term and/or long-term personal goals. I have a broad range of experience treating conditions, solving problems, and coping with circumstances that influence the emotional and cognitive functioning of adults of all ages and gender. I am a primarily a person-centered therapist with advanced training and expertise in treating conditions such as trauma, anxiety, and depression with evidence-based interventions such as cognitive processing therapy (CPT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and eye-movement desensitization reprocessing (EMDR).
I have worked successfully with victims of natural disasters, interpersonal victimization (i.e., abuse, sexual, etc.), and veterans who have survived the atrocities of combat. I believe everyone is entitled to their best possible self and quality of life, which is often limited by how our physiology, thoughts, and emotions interact with our circumstances.
If you are looking for an objective and supportive professional ally to help overcome challenges (be they internal or external) and want to navigate toward your best possible self and best possible quality of life, please make an appointment.
