Although my personal approach draws from a variety of modalities (including EMDR, interpersonal neurobiology, polyvagal and attachment theories), all are rooted in the fundamental principles of non-judgmental acceptance, authenticity, and relational wisdom, both with others and with oneself. Beyond the exploration of old patterns of beliefs and behaviors, my focus is on helping you develop knowledge and tools that will facilitate sustained growth long after our work together has ended.
I work with adults and older teens on a variety of issues, including trauma/PTSD, anxiety, managing stress, and developing healthy boundaries in all kinds of relationships. I also have a special interest in working with families facing a dementia diagnosis, as well as issues of stage fright or test anxiety with creatives, performers, and students.
Inclusiveness and cultural competency are strongly held values in my practice. All are welcome regardless of race, ethnicity, religion, gender identity and expression, or sexual orientation. In addition to in-office sessions, I also offer HIPAA-compliant teletherapy to individuals located anywhere in the state of Texas.
