Hello! I'm Dr. Shannon Gordon, a Georgia-licensed clinical social worker. I provide clients safe space to share openly and honestly to recover from challenges and learn new skills to live more effectively. My authentic, relatable approach is based on the latest healing research. I love to work with people from all ages and stages of life especially those who struggle with substance use or trauma histories. Recovery is real and possible for anyone! I take a customer-guided, evidence-based approach to care.
I use motivational interviewing as well as cognitive behavioral and dialectical behavior therapy approaches, internal family systems, inner child, somatic and energy-based approaches to pursue holistic healing - mind, emotions, body, spirit, and social network.
Together, we review the confidentiality guardrails. Then we have a companionable conversation toward helping me understand how to serve you best as you work toward your goals.
