I graduated Eastern Michigan University with a major in psychology and a minor in nutrition in 2007. I completed my PhD program at the University of Detroit Mercy in 2014. During that time period I worked with patients in outpatient and inpatient settings including the University psychology clinic, Wayne State Family Medicine Center, Providence Alaska Family Medicine Center, and Providence Alaska inpatient services. I’m a clinical psychologist (PhD) specializing in trauma, anxiety, depression, and the mind–body impact of stress.
My approach is warm, relational, and psychodynamic — I help you understand not just what you’re feeling, but why it keeps happening. Many of my clients come to me after trying short-term or skills-only therapy and not feeling truly understood. Together, we look at the deeper patterns shaped by past experiences, trauma, and relationships.
This includes medical trauma, chronic illness, health anxiety, and eating issues rooted in shame or self-criticism.
I offer teletherapy to adults who want thoughtful, insight-oriented work that leads to lasting change.
