Congratulations on taking the first step in your healing journey. This is a courageous first step in the line of many. Life can be difficult, stressful, challenging and overwhelming. Everyone experiences these feelings at some point in their life, including therapists, and that's okay! I firmly believe that everyone is capable healing and peace, and I am humbled to be a part of that healing journey. My goal is to create a safe and compassionate space for you, using unconditional positive regard, empathy and connection, to explore your healing journey and deepen your self understanding.
I have been working in the mental health field for the past eight years and have extensive experience working with a variety of ages. I assist those who currently or have experienced anxiety, depression, simple and complex trauma, mood disorders, and behavioral disturbances. I am fully trained in EMDR therapy and working towards EMDR certification.
Yalom said it best, that the therapist and the client are "fellow travelers, a term that abolishes distinctions between 'them' (the afflicted) and 'us' (the healers). ...
