I encourage my members to steer the wheel during our sessions to ensure they get to where they want to go. However, I’m also very big on psychoeducation—understanding your diagnosis will help you grasp the concepts and make significant progress. Everyone experiences mental health differently, so your journey will be unique. I love to educate myself and my members, and anytime I find something new that could be helpful, I will share it with you. At NOCD, my team and I specialize in providing evidence-based treatment for people with OCD. Our understanding of the nuances of OCD enables us to properly diagnose and treat it.
We have received intensive training in Exposure Response and Prevention Therapy (ERP)—the gold standard treatment for OCD. When you start with NOCD, you’ll either work with me or be paired with one of my colleagues, depending on your preferences. We’ll get to know you and create a treatment plan to help you achieve your goals.
Plus, we offer support between sessions through direct messaging and a community of peers with OCD, ensuring you never feel alone. Understand that this is a big step for you, and I’m already proud of you. Progress only happens when you get uncomfortable. I look forward to working with you and helping you conquer your OCD.
