Shani Barber
Clinical Social Work/Therapist, LCSW
We sometimes feel isolated or alone when dealing with life's challenges. Whether feeling overwhelmed, frustrated by certain relationships in our lives, or trying to cope with a particularly challenging situation, I will help to create a safe, nurturing and non-judgmental environment to discuss these issues. Together we will explore your feelings, attitudes and perceptions towards these challenges and work to empower you to overcome these obstacles and live an emotionally healthy life.
Working with my clients, I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy along with a variety of other tools as a process to understand thoughts, emotions, and behavior patterns. In my couples work, I employ additional approaches including Emotionally Focused Therapy and the Gottman Method.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has helped hundreds of adolescents, adults, and couples gain insight, confidence and the tools they need in order to overcome life's roadblocks and meet their goals. I look forward to working together to help you achieve success!
