About
My passion is to empower clients with practical tools and strategies so that they may thrive in life and reach their God-given potential! My speciality is working with pre-teens, youth and young adults who may be struggling with anxiety, depression, confidence, social skills struggles, or disabilities. I especially enjoy working with those with IEP's and 504 Plans. The client-therapist partnership is key to success; strategies discussed in session and applied routinely outside by the client are keys to client progress and goal achievement! I strive to build a foundation of trust and partnership as to empower clients to make change.
Theoretical approaches utilize a strengths-based lense including: Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and implementing evidence-based interventions/curriculums. I can also offer faith-based Christian Counseling for those seeking that specific element within therapy.
Therapy is a collaborative experience where new insight can be gained and tools learned so as to live a happier, well-balanced life. Compassion, competence, and partnership are integral counseling elements I provide. Empowering clients with a new skill-set to reach their goals is incredibly rewarding and I consider it a gift to be a part of the journey.
