As a Black femme, disabled, poly, LGBTQ person I have firsthand experience navigating the difficulty finding a therapist who can understand those intersections. Therapists need to recognize familial, interpersonal and systemic issues that can make achieving one’s goals challenging. We all deserve support through life's transitions. Whether you are navigating grief or unpacking a life filled with trauma, the goal is to determine what kind of life you want to live and then the necessary steps to get you there. Peace, love and belonging are attainable with the right tools. I foster a responsible space where you can feel seen and heard.
As a therapist trained in various modalities I have chosen to specialize in trauma and working with LGBTQ+ and polyamorous folks & clients of color. My practice centers around building and maintaining healthy relationships and boundaries with oneself and the world around you. Trauma does not have to define you, although it is often a defining moment in life.
Life is often difficult but with the right coping skills and support you can start to feel empowered. If you find yourself here then you have already taken the most important step. Now it’s time for you to prioritize your mental health and well-being. Feel free to reach out to me to schedule a free 15 minute consultation.
