As a therapist who has worked in the mental health field for over a decade, I believe that each person in therapy is ultimately "the one behind the wheel". There is no one that knows you better than you. Although, having a passenger along the way can certainly help to make sense of the directions. Using a person centered approach, I will work to help you attain independence and insight when it feels as if life has gone awry. Whether you are looking to process through trauma, build a more stable lifestyle or simply want to vent about your daily stressors, I will gladly meet you where you are.
I provide therapy from a creative and flexible approach. Sometimes, this means collaborating to identify and solve problems. However, I also appreciate the value in simply having someone to sit with and listen to you. I can help process past or ongoing personal distress, challenge problematic thinking/behaviors and work with you to promote desired growth.
