My name is Shane and I am an experienced Licensed Professional Counselor-Mental Health (LPC-MH) with nearly twenty years of experience. I believe that each client is the expert in their own life. My role is to journey with them and help guide them through whatever challenges they may face.
I have a strong person-centered approach to therapy. If person-centered is the foundation of my work, the walls built on that foundation are based on cognitive behavioral therapy and related concepts. I am a very inquisitive person who enjoys learning more about my clients.
I became interested in psychotherapy while enlisted in the United States Army. After starting college, my interests in counseling were again piqued by a speaker in one of my early psychology classes.
