About
The majority of my work has been centered around the neurobiology of trauma, and early attachment experiences that form and shape relationships, beliefs, feelings and behaviors in the present. Some common challenges and themes are relationship difficulty, depression, loneliness, anger, anxiety, self loathing and shame. Some clients come in with clarity, but most just know they are struggling and aren't sure where to begin. My job will be to create the environment and provide the tools to help us uncover, explore and integrate the unconscious and conscious parts of the psyche.
I feel it is important to individualize my approach not only for each client, but in each moment. I practice mindfulness in the session which helps me pay close attention to subtle details that may serve as messengers and guideposts. Therapy is very much a dynamic and collaborative process. I also offer NeurOptimal®Neurofeedback Brain Training.
We all deserve to be met with kindness, compassion and respect but also with honesty and insight. At all stages of life, we are meant to thrive and engage in the world with a sense of freedom and wholeness as we explore and express the depths of our own being.
