Creating a safe environment for someone to work on growth and change is the most important beginning to a therapeutic alliance when I work with someone. I enjoy working with individuals and couples from age 8 and up. Adolescents have always been a population I enjoy working with as they move through so many developmental tasks at the same time as navigating challenges. My specialty areas are looking at the world through a Trauma Informed lens and working through: trauma, depression and anxiety, post partum depression, LGBTQ+ issues and gender affirming care, menopause, GLP 1 or other weight loss mental health support. Welcome in!
My approach to therapy is through connection and safety. Strategies used come from CBT, DBT, Somatic Therapy, Sex Therapy learned from AASECT approved training program, and Person Centered.
I love working with adults, couples, and children. I look forward to helping you and meeting you where you are. Yes, that can sound like a "cheesy" therapy statement, but I fully believe in this approach to counseling!
