Hello, I am Shamikia McGhee a National Certified Counselor and I am here to assist and help you navigate those difficult times in this journey called "Life". I commend you for taking the brave opportunity in your healing journey. My clinical approach is experiential which allow the client to use expressive tools to recreate specific situations from the past and present. Throughout my career, I have worked with a variety of communities as veterans, adults, children, teenagers and offenders. My favorite population to work with is African American men and women changing the stigma with mental health in our community.
As a National Certified Counselor, I aim to always put the client first by looking through the lens of the client's life to work as a collaborative team to find a healthy solution to the problem. I specialize in working with individuals with anxiety, depression, communication, self- confidence, and black women's issues.
I believe that everyone deserves to seek mental health treatment without being judged for making the brave decision to put YOU first.
