Welcome to Shifa Therapy LLC, a space for healing. I offer trauma-focused psychotherapy that centers BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ folks in New Jersey. My goal as your therapist is for you to be seen and understood as you are. No code-switching necessary. Throughout the process, I will invite you with patience and compassion, going at your pace as you build new adaptations towards thriving. At times, we may draw upon the past to increase awareness, overcome unresolved issues, and regain a sense of feeling whole.
As a Queer Person of Color, I run an affirming and antiracist practice for teens and adults of diverse cultures, intersecting identities, and lived experiences. My approach is somatic (body-oriented), liberation-based, relational, and integrative of systemic, sociopolitical, and collective realities that impact one's mental health.
