Welcome to Shifa Therapy LLC, a space for healing. I offer trauma-focused, virtual psychotherapy services centering BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ individuals in NJ. My goal as your therapist is for you to be seen, valued, and understood as you are. No code-switching necessary. Throughout the process, I will invite you with compassion, patience, and safety so you may explore steps you can take to build new adaptations and thrive once again. At times, we may reflect upon the past to increase awareness, overcome unresolved issues, regain a sense of feeling whole, and experience more fulfillment in the present and beyond.
As a queer person of color, my practice is LGBTQIA-affirming and rooted in antiracism. My approach is somatic-based, attachment-oriented, relational, and centered on you as a human within your environment. I integrate various modalities in treating teens and adults of diverse cultures, intersecting identities, and lived experiences.
