My focus as a therapist is on helping survivors of traumatic experiences to heal and address the many ways that early abuse and neglect can impact adult life. You may have noticed posttraumatic symptoms such as intrusive thoughts, nightmares, always feeling on guard, not being able to remember things you feel you should, or overly negative beliefs about yourself and the world. You may have been dealing with the symptoms for so long that they seem like a part of you- unhelpful patterns, depression, anxiety, addiction, career, relationship or parenting problems and difficulty making desired life changes. Things can be different!
I believe our liberation is bound up in each other and I approach the work of therapy through a justice lens. I come to your session equipped to offer you a range of modalities including EMDR, Narrative therapy, Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy and drawing on training in ACT, DBT, TF-CBT, IFS, MI, Harm Reduction, Psychodrama and Somatic Abolition.
Therapy is not always easy, but it is worth it. You may have been struggling or "making it work" for a very long time, but healing is one thing that you don't have to already know how to do by yourself. I have respect for how much you have had to do to get this far and I want to help you figure out where to go with it next.
